Lisa
I had my Gastric bypass surgery on the 30th of March 2011. I have lost almost 6 stone since then. The quality of my life compared with before the operation is so different. I feel alive for the first time in years. I have so much more energy and have even bought a bike!! I can buy clothes because I like them not just because they fit me! Going on holidays was such a joy this year, I was able to go swimming without dying of embarrassment, I was able to enjoy the sun and not pass out with the heat. The only regret I have it not having the operation sooner.
Catriona
My name is Catriona - 29. I struggled with my weight for the past 8 years. I had tried Weightwatchers on numerous occasions, Lipotrim and good old calorie counting. I even tried the intragastric balloon six years ago. Each time I would lose a couple of pounds, finish the diet and gain them back again with a few extra pounds. As you can see by my pre-op picture I went up to a whopping 114kg.

I have also stopped taking blood pressure medications. My energy levels are hugely increased. My sleeping is much better. My back pain is much improved. It is over 21/2 years since my operation and I have lost and maintained 82lbs or 75% of my excess weight. My BMI is now 29kg/m2. Having the surgery is the best thing I ever did.
Ann
